a rabbit hole * of limited consequence is a 13 minute single movement string quartet I wrote in the summer of 2008. The piece is very intricate and requires the performers (wearing lapel microphones) to not only play but speak and sing as well. Most of the lines are quotes from famous minds in either the universe or physics. There is very complex staging and manipulation of extra material (particularly percussion). |
