R(B.)esurgens was written to commemorate the devastating wild fires that ravaged Southern California in the fall of 2007. The community of Rancho Bernardo left dozens of families homeless. Not long afterward, however, families were able to rebuild and reconnect- stronger and more beautiful than before.

R.(B.)esurgens is a testimony to the courage and dedication of the people of Rancho Bernardo. R.B. also stands for Resurgens Bennu, two names for the mythical firebird.
